Given the recent “shocking” polling results of the Singapore Parliamentary Elections 2011 and perhaps, after doing a post-election review, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has just announced his much-anticipated new Cabinet line-up in a press conference held today.

It is a brand new re-shufflement of the Singapore Cabinet. 11 of the 14 ministries will have a new minister in charge. The new Cabinet will see 9 ministers stepping down from the previous team.

According to PM Lee, he said this will be a fresh team that will look at the future with a clean slate.
New appointments will take effect this Saturday 21 May 2011.

Here’s the full list:

What an unexpected new line-up of Singapore Cabinet Ministers, isn’t it?

As a Singaporean, I hope it brings a bigger new change to Singapore, to propel our nation to scale greater heights for the next 5 years and beyond. 🙂

Oh yes, last but not least, not to forget this:

  • Wong Kan Seng, Mah Bow Tan and Raymond Lim to step down from Cabinet, along together with SM Goh Chok Tong and MM Lee Kuan Yew.
